Kenny Wilkerson was born and bred in the Midwest.  After graduating highschool, and looking for sun and fun, he trekked off to sun soaked Los Angeles, California in 1988 to persue a career in music.  While attending Musician's Institute, and because he was an avid tanner, he took a management job at Sunset Tan in West Hollywood on the Sunset Strip.  He continued to work at Sunset Tan for four and a half years as their number one sales person where he had the opportunity to bronze some of Hollywood's hottest celebrity bods.  He remembers when California Tan came out with the tanning industry's first line of lotion consisting only of "Max" and "Rage". 

 While in California, Kenny's music career flourished.  He was able to perform on several dozen CDs; mixing it up with some famous musicians.  He also had the opportunity to promote grammy award winning artists. 

 After experiencing all California had to offer, Kenny decided to pack up his bags, and move to the real "Sunshine State" in 1996.  He took his experience from promoting music and working in the tanning industry, and decided to open up his own salon, "Electric Beach".  The shops' rockin' atmosphere and fun decor, is a testament to Ken's love of all things beachy.
